Dirtybird Forever
For 20 years, Dirtybird has represented left-field, DIY, playful, West Coast energy. Dirtybird has always placed an emphasis on fun, weirdness, and groove. You can feel it in the music, events and community.
Dirtybird Records championed many dance music artists before they were household names.
From The Bay To The World
In San Francisco in the early 2000’s, Dirtybird harnessed the individuality and funkiness of the Bay Area and fused that energy with the sounds of bassy, experimental house from Chicago and Detroit to create something new.
The polarizing and distinctively quirky music of Dirtybird first caught on in Europe before taking the United States (& beyond) by storm. The flock expanded from the Bay to the world, as artists like Fisher, Eats Everything, Walker & Royce and many more flew to dance floors internationally.
Migrating South
Back in San Francisco, the Dirtybird flock was known for nesting in Golden Gate Park and throwing BBQ parties that quickly built a community of likeminded birds.
Dirtybird BBQ later evolved into day parties in major cities around the country. In 2015, Dirtybird Campout took flight as a boutique music festival focused on closing the gap between DJ’s and fans and making a music festival that felt like summer camp. In 2021, the birds migrated to Florida to launch Dirtybird CampINN, a similar festival but with hotel rooms and pool parties instead of camping by the lake.
